What is National Parents' Day? 

It is our newest national holiday, designed to honor parents as the centers of our families. Parents' Day was created by an Act of Congress:

In 1994, following unanimous approval by the U.S. Congress, President Bill Clinton signed into law a bill setting aside the fourth Sunday of every July as Parents’ Day in America. Sunday, July 22, 2001 will be the eighth celebration of this special day.

Why, you might ask, do we need another holiday?   Well, here are a few reasons.
