What is National Parents' Day?

It is our newest national holiday, designed to honor parents as the centers of our families. Parents' Day was created by an Act of Congress:

In 1994, following unanimous approval by the U.S. Congress, President Bill Clinton signed into law a bill setting aside the fourth Sunday of every July as Parents’ Day in America.

Sunday, July 22, 2001 will be the eighth celebration of this special day.
