CCPF Purpose

The Colorado Coalition for Parents and Families (CCPF) is a non-profit educational organization that begins from the recognition that:

	Families are the cornerstone of society. Strong families are the most important basis for healthy communities.
	Involved, effective, loving parents are the essential to the success of the family.
	The family is the primary and natural vehicle for the nurturing, education and development of children.
	Every child needs a mother and a father; children need both parents.

CCPF is committed to the promotion of effective and positive parenting, and to the support of both parents in their role as the nurturers of and providers for their children.

To those ends, CCPF undertakes programs and activities to:

	Recognize effective parents as role models for others through the promotion and celebration of National Parents' Day each July.
	Provide educational forums to discuss issues important to the strengthening of the family unit.
	Advocate a cultural environment that is parent-centered and family-friendly.
